We were asked to perform at Kingsmead school in Hackney for their International evening, and they really wanted to have the BBoys and Bolly Babes act to wow their students and appeal to everyone. They had different professional acts performing on the night, a steel pan group and an amazing African dance performance from ‘Lion Man’, as well as the children doing some performances too.
While performing it was such an electric atmosphere as the crowd were going wild. It was so lovely to see their faces, especially as Patt did his breakdancing tricks – he really inspired the young crowd. They loved it – and we did too as it’s great to get immediate feedback from an audience as you know you are doing a good job!
We did one performance mixing Bollywood and Breakdance, and then we got everyone up and taught them some Bollywood and hip hop moves, and then did a giant performance with everyone. It was so brilliant and it warmed our hearts performing for such a receptive crowd.
