The famous Pineapple Dance Studios in the heart of London got in touch as they had a special request for us… 80 French exchange students were in London wanting to try out a new dance style, and they chose Bollywood!

It was great to be able to give them their first taste into this dance style with a full on dance workshop with two of our directors Olivia and Ambur. So they were in safe hands, and learning from the best (not so much can be said of their very basic use of the French language, but they made themselves understood through the medium of dance!)

After a warm up with lots of Bhangra and Bollywood moves they taught some classical hand positions (Mudras). They then moved on to learning a bit of partner work which was great fun, before ending with a massive Bollywood dance off which got them all competing.

The students left wanting more – as they went off to see the sights of Covent Garden, they were still shimmying and twisting those lightbulbs as they walked out the door!
